Editor: Decide with Clarity

Effective date: August 9, 2026

This policy describes how Editor: Decide with Clarity ("Editor", "the app") handles your information. Editor is built by Francisco Martínez ("we", "us"). The short version: there are no accounts, your thinking stays on your device and in your private iCloud, and we do not sell data or run advertising.

No accounts

Editor does not require sign-up, email, or any personal profile. On first launch the app registers an anonymous, randomly generated device identifier with our server. This identifier is used only to authenticate requests and verify your subscription status. It is not linked to your name, email, or Apple Account.

Your sessions and personal context

  • Stored on your device and in your private iCloud. Thinking sessions, next actions, artifacts, and the personal context you add (name, notes, goals) are stored locally on your device and, if iCloud is enabled, in your private CloudKit database — accessible only through your Apple Account. We cannot read your iCloud data.
  • Processed to generate output. When you run a session, the text you enter (and, for subscribers, relevant personal context) is sent over an encrypted connection to our server and forwarded to a large language model provider to generate your structured output. We do not keep a copy of your session content in our databases.
  • Deletable at any time. Settings → Advanced lets you delete all app data, including the iCloud copy.

What our server stores

Our server keeps a minimal device record: the anonymous device identifier, subscription tier, and session counts (used to prevent abuse). That is the extent of our server-side database about you.

Service providers

Editor relies on a small set of processors to function:

ProviderPurpose
Google (Gemini API)Generates session output from your input
OpenAIBackup generation provider; transcribes voice input you dictate
AppleApp distribution, payments, private iCloud storage
RevenueCatSubscription management using an anonymous app user ID
NotionOnly if you connect it, to export artifacts you choose

These providers process data solely to deliver the feature involved. Voice recordings are transcribed and not retained by us. Documents you attach are processed to extract their text for your session.

Subscriptions

Payments are handled entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details. RevenueCat receives an anonymous identifier and purchase receipts to keep your subscription active across reinstalls.

No tracking

The app contains no advertising, no third-party analytics SDKs, and no data brokers. We do not sell or share personal information. Our website (framara.net) uses self-hosted, cookieless analytics (Umami) that collects no personal data.

Data retention and deletion

Session content is not retained on our servers after processing. The anonymous device record is kept while the app is in use; you can request its deletion at any time by contacting us.

Children

Editor is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we will update this page and the effective date above.
