Privacy Policy

Last updated: January 31, 2026

Introduction

Editor: Decide with Clarity is committed to respecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the Editor iOS app.

Key point: We do not run a user account system. Your sessions are stored on your device and are sent to our backend only when you request a response.

Information You Provide

When you use Editor, you may enter:

  • Session inputs (your notes, prompts, and context)
  • Outputs generated by the app
  • Optional profile signals (goals, principles, constraints) used for Unlimited memory

Where Your Data Is Stored

Editor stores data in the following places:

  • On-device storage: session history, outputs, and settings are stored locally on your device.
  • Backend processing: your inputs are sent to our server to generate responses. We do not intentionally store session content on our servers after processing.

AI Processing

Editor sends your inputs to third-party AI providers through our backend to generate responses. Current providers include:

  • OpenAI
  • Google Gemini

These providers process your input to return a response. We do not control their processing beyond the prompts sent through our system.

Third-Party Integrations

Editor offers optional integrations with third-party services:

Notion (Unlimited tier only)

If you connect your Notion account, Editor can export artifacts to your Notion workspace. When you authorize this integration:

  • Editor receives an access token to create pages in your workspace
  • The token is stored securely in your device's Keychain
  • Artifact content is sent directly to Notion's API
  • You can disconnect at any time in Settings

We do not store your Notion credentials on our servers. The OAuth token exchange happens through our backend to keep the client secret secure, but the token itself is stored only on your device.

Notion Privacy Policy

Purchases and Subscriptions

Editor uses RevenueCat to manage in-app subscriptions. RevenueCat may process purchase-related information (such as transaction data and device/app identifiers) to validate your subscription.

RevenueCat Privacy Policy

Payments are handled by Apple via the App Store. We do not receive your payment details.

What We Do Not Do

Editor does not:

  • create user accounts
  • sell or rent your data
  • show ads or track you across apps

Data Retention and Deletion

You can delete sessions inside the app. Deleting the app removes local data stored on your device. If you want all local data removed, delete the app from your device.

Security

Your data security depends on your device security settings (passcode, Face ID) and Apple's platform protections. We cannot access your device data directly.

Children's Privacy

Editor is intended for a general audience and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy over time. If we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above.
