Unawkward: Manager Coaching

AI leadership & feedback coach

iOS AppAvailable on App StoreiPhoneEnglish

Nobody teaches you how to manage people. You usually find out you are bad at a conversation while you are in the middle of having it.

Unawkward is a rehearsal room for the difficult conversations that come with managing people. You describe the situation, and an AI plays the other person. They defend, they deflect, they go quiet, and they do not fold just because you were polite. You speak out loud. They answer.

Then it tells you what to say instead.

REHEARSE OUT LOUD, NOT IN YOUR HEAD

You talk, and the other person talks back in real time. When a moment goes wrong you can rewind, take it differently, and see where the other version would have gone.

COACHING THAT QUOTES YOU BACK

Every rehearsal ends with four things: what worked, the hard moment, the turn, and one thing to change. Each is fixed to a timestamp and quotes your own words back to you. "Change one thing" comes with an actual sentence to use, because knowing you hedged does not help you on the walk to the meeting room. It is the leadership coaching most new managers never get, and it is about the conversation you actually had, not managers in general.

THE ONES MANAGERS ACTUALLY DREAD

Feedback that turns into an argument. A boundary that keeps getting crossed. Saying no to your own boss. A deadline that has slipped three times. Someone who has quietly checked out. Pick one from the library, or describe your own in a sentence.

A PREP CARD FOR NINETY SECONDS BEFORE

Your opener in your own words, your non-negotiable, one tactic, and what to say if they push back. Open it on the way in.

WATCH YOUR CONFIDENCE MOVE

Say how prepared you feel before you start and again at the end. The gap is usually bigger than people expect.

STRAIGHT FROM YOUR WEEK

Allow calendar access and Unawkward reads your week and picks out the meetings worth rehearsing first. Only the meeting titles are shared, nothing else in your calendar leaves your phone, and you can turn it off.

PRIVATE BY DEFAULT

There is no account. You never give us an email address and we never learn your name. Your rehearsals stay on your iPhone and in your own iCloud, never on our servers. Each rehearsal is processed by an AI service to generate the replies and the coaching, then discarded. We never store it.

Unawkward is practice, not advice. It is not HR, legal or medical advice and it does not replace any of them.

SUBSCRIPTION

Unawkward is an auto-renewing subscription with a 7-day free trial. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. It renews automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and you can manage or cancel it in Settings on your device at any time. Anything you have already rehearsed stays readable either way.
