Vidya: Video Game Collection
Vidya catalogs your physical video game collection as a binder of collector cards: every game you own becomes a card with its box art, its format and a rarity.

Vidya is made by one person, so replies can take a few days. If something went wrong, tell us your iPhone model, your iOS version and what you were doing; a screenshot helps.
How do I add games?
Tap the big + at the bottom of the screen. Search by name, scan a barcode, take a photo of the box, photograph a whole shelf to read the titles on the spines, or bring your list from a spreadsheet (CSV). Adding a lot at once? Put the cards face down and open them together as one pack.
Vidya picked the wrong game, region or edition. How do I fix it?
Open the card, scroll to Your box and tap Change. Pick the right region or edition, or the same game on another console. Your format, notes, photo and binders stay as they were.
My game isn't in the catalog. What can I do?
Search for it, then tap Add it yourself and fill in what you know. The card goes into your binder straight away. We check what people send before anyone else can see it; you can follow it under Settings, Your contributions.
How is a card's rarity decided?
From what copies of that release sell for, compared with other games: the most valuable games are Epic and Legendary, and games from the last few years that are still in shops start as Common. When a game's price climbs, its card can move up a tier. Rarity is a guide, not a valuation.
Where do the values come from?
From a third-party video game price guide, updated daily, for loose, complete and sealed copies. Each card's page links to the source of its value. Values are estimates, not appraisals: what a copy really sells for depends on the copy and the buyer.
Can I hide prices?
Yes. Settings, Cards, Show prices. Rarity still comes from prices when they're hidden.
Does "Find on eBay" earn you money?
It can. It's an affiliate link: if you buy something on eBay after following it, we may earn a commission, at no extra cost to you. It never changes what you see in Vidya.
How do I import my collection from another app?
Export your collection from the other app as a spreadsheet (CSV), then in Vidya tap Settings, Your data, or the Add screen's Bring your list, and choose the file. If the other app emails you a .zip file, unzip it first. You'll see what was found before anything is added.
Does my collection sync between devices?
Yes, through your iCloud account when iCloud sync is on (Settings, Your data). Vidya works on iPhone.
How do I back up or export my collection?
Settings, Your data, Export: a spreadsheet (CSV) to open anywhere, or a Vidya backup that restores your collection, binders and wanted games (photos optional).
How do I delete my data?
Settings, Your data, Delete all data removes your cards, wanted games and binders, and their copy in iCloud when sync is on. Games and box art you sent us stay in the catalog; to have them deleted, email hi@framara.net. The Privacy Policy has the details.
I've seen box art or a game in the catalog that's wrong or inappropriate. How do I report it?
Email hi@framara.net with the game's name and console, and we'll check it and take it down if it shouldn't be there.
The camera keeps saying "Move closer".
The text on the box is too small to read. Fill more of the frame with the box, in good light. Titles on a shelf's spines need to be large enough to read too.
Is Vidya affiliated with a console maker, publisher or price guide?
No. Vidya is an independent app. Game titles, box art and logos belong to their owners and are shown to identify the games.
